What performing arts skills and abilities do you have? What can you bring to the course?
I can sing, dance, and act. I would say that singing and acting are my stronger points, as I haven't done this style of dance in the past. I did music and drama for GCSE so my skills are all around, which is helpful.
This year in February, I played a lead role ( Marty Maraschino) in my school production of Grease. This was a great way to improve my team work as well as my individual skills because a lot of it was working together even though I was a lead.
After college, I want to go to drama school, preferably somewhere like Royal Central or Guildford. My lifelong dream has been to be in musicals all across the West End and on Broadway. Ever since I was little I've always loved dancing and singing along to musicals, and I knew that it was what I wanted to do.

Progress over last half term;
-What have you learned? What skills have you gained or improved?
- I have started ballet, which is new to me.
- My confidence has improved a lot.
- I have learned about what I need to do to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
- I have improved my singing skills in lessons with Charlie; this includes learning how to properly warm up and how to use breathing and pronunciation to benefit me.
I think that my main priority is ballet. I'm fairly new to it, so I need to work hard to focus on picking it up and get everything right in preparation for future auditions.
I would like to work on my movement more with Shelley, and make sure that my body is performing to the fullest extent.
-Was there a 'high point' for you?
In musical theatre class, we learned the choreography to Cinema Italiano from the musical Nine. I really enjoy choreography, so this was both fun and easy, and I really surprised myself with how well it was going.

At the beginning of the course, you talked about your performing arts experiences before coming on to the college. What other skills and experiences have you improved, developed, or gained over the past 2 terms?
- I have gained a lot of confidence
- I've learned how to work in a theatre space effectively
- I have improved my technical work eg singing

In our most recent performance of Little Shop of Horrors and The Addams Family.
Where have you gained new experience?
- Choreographing in musical theatre. We came up with our own routine to You Can't Stop The Beat.
